1.) Create an “In Theaters” or “Showtimes” Page and Add Link in Menu

Include the Tugg Widget here so people can easily navigate through the site to find any pending or confirmed screenings. They will also be able to purchase tickets through the widget, so it’s important to make it easy for people to find.

Include this text above the Tugg Widget:

“Don’t see your city listed? Host a Screening in your town with Tugg.com! [link "Tugg.com" to your TITLE PAGE URL. Example: http://www.tugg.com/titles/film-name-with-dashes-between-words] Click here [link "here" to your site's "Host A Screening" URL] for more details.”

2.) Create a Detailed “Host a Screening” Page and Add Link in Menu

Create a main “Host a Screening” header and include this text under it:

We’ve partnered with Tugg.com [link to TITLE PAGE URL. Example: http://www.tugg.com/titles/film-name-with-dashes-between-words], a web-platform that enables individuals, groups, and organizations to set up personalized screenings of Film Name in theaters and community venues across the country. This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness for the issue of [WHAT?]! To spark change in your area, events can be used as fundraisers and can include audience discussions.

There are two ways to host a screening:
In a Local Theater [link to your site's "In A Theater Near You" URL or Page Anchor] or in a Community Center or Campus [link to your site's "Community Center or Campus" URL or Page Anchor]

Create an “In a Local Theater” subheader and include this text under it:

Tugg’s Promoter Walkthrough [link to http://resources.tugg.com/school/promoter/] will guide you through the process of hosting a screening and getting the most out of your event!

The process is simple:
  1. Fill out the Event Request Form [link “Event Request Form” to TITLE PAGE CREATE EVENT URL. Example: https://www.tugg.com/event_requests/new/film-name-with-dashes-between-words] to pick the date, time, and place for your special screening.
  2. The theater approves the request, and you can begin selling tickets on your personalized Event Page.
  3. Sell enough tickets before the event deadline to confirm your screening. If you don’t meet this “Threshold,” no one will be charged and your event will be called off.
  4. Sit back and enjoy the movie with your community!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Tugg Team at support@tugginc.com.

Create an “In a Community Center or Campus” subheader and include this text under it:

The process is simple:
  1. Choose a date, time, and place to show the film. Venues include: schools, religious institutions, community centers, and recreational facilities.
  2. Purchase a screening license. [link to LICENSES PAGE URL. Example: https://educate.tugg.com/titlesfilm-name-with-dashes-between-words] If you are partnering with a K-12 school or university, be sure to select the Educational option. We will ship you the film’s Blu-ray or DVD to play at the event.
  3. (optional) Fill out the Tugg Event Page Request Form [link to http://resources.tugg.com/event-page-request-form/] so you can sell tickets to your event, accept donations, or manage free RSVPs. Someone from the Tugg Team will follow up with you to create your page!
  4. Sit back and enjoy the movie with your community!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Tugg Team at support@tugginc.com.

3.) Add Call-to-Action(s) on Homepage

Add a call-to-action button (in addition to the “Host a Screening” tab) that indicates that anyone can host their own screening of the film – “Host a Screening!” or “Bring the Film to You!”. This should point to your “Host a Screening” page.

Optionally you can also add a “Click Here for Upcoming Screenings” or “Showtimes” button that will point to the “In Theaters” / “Showtimes” page.

4.) Add Email and Zip Code Form on Homepage

Add two form fields on your homepage where fans can sign up to learn about events in their area and receive newsletter updates. See the Blood Brother example above. We recommend you ask for the fan’s email address and zip code, which can be added to a service like MailChimp or a Google Form. This will allow you to email fans in select cities when Tugg screenings are created nearby.

Here’s sample text: “Sign up for the newsletter and learn about screenings in your area: [ Enter Your Email Address ] [ Zip Code ] [Submit Button]”

Sample How-to Videos

You’re a filmmaker… make a video explaining how Tugg works! There’s no better way to communicate this opportunity on your website and on social media.

Tips for a successful video:

  1. Write a script and solicit feedback
  2. Make your enthusiasm infectious
  3. Hook your audience within the first 15 seconds and try to keep the video under 2 minutes
  4. Briefly explain how Tugg works
  5. Give the link to your website (you updated it and made a custom Promoter Toolkit, right?)
  6. Think of this like a crowdfunding campaign – “perks” include giving exclusive swag to attendees, supporting Promoters on social media, and personally attending successful events
  7. Motivate your superfans – both intrinsically and extrinsically – to become Promoters
    • Promoters make 5% of ticket sales, but they also get to share your film’s message/cause with their community
    • Events can be used as fundraisers and to build awareness
